Empowering Immigrant Professionals to Align Their Money with Their Lives

Why Financial Planning for Immigrant Professionals Requires a Different Approach
We believe financial decisions shape more than net worth. They shape careers, families, and the lives you build over time. For many immigrant professionals, those decisions carry added weight and complexity.
There may be family overseas, cultural expectations around money and career, or pressure to make the “right” choice after years of sacrifice. Career paths can feel less flexible when visa status, financial security, and lifestyle stability are tied to employment. The stakes often feel higher, and the margin for error smaller.
Many traditional financial plans don’t make space for these realities. They focus on optimization without context. At Everleap, we take a different approach. We begin by listening, bringing a deep understanding shaped by our own lived experience. Then we help you clarify what a fulfilling life looks like, and align your finances to support it.
When financial planning reflects your life in context, decisions feel clearer, and easier to stand behind.

Bringing a rare mix of technical expertise and lived experience
I’m Didi, a first-generation immigrant from China, a proud mom, and the founder of Everleap Financial Planning™. My mission is to help people with similar backgrounds gain clarity, agency, and a renewed sense of purpose as they navigate big decisions about money, career, and family – often all at once.
I came to the U.S. at 23, carrying my family’s hopes and a “default script” of chasing stability and success. After earning my master’s degree, I spent seven years in financial services and five more in the fast-paced world of tech, climbing my way to prestigious titles and eventually earning over half a million dollars a year – achievements that once felt unimaginable.
But behind those accomplishments was a story many immigrants know well: the relentless pursuit of security, the weight of visa uncertainty, and the quiet burnout that comes from running at full speed for too long. When my daughter was born, the tension between work, identity, and family became impossible to ignore.
In 2024, I took a leap of faith – stepping away from an upward-trending tech career and a high six-figure income. Not because I had everything figured out, but because I finally had the courage to start asking better questions. That pause gave me space to reflect, recalibrate, and recognize that financial planning was where my skills, values, and purpose intersected.
In 2026, I launched my firm to help others like me – high achieving professionals building new roots in a new country while seeking a more meaningful life – use money as a tool to create freedom, clarity, and balance. To me, financial planning isn’t about chasing returns. It’s about designing a life that feels both grounded and alive.
Our values
authenticity
Money should support a life that feels true to who you are. Everleap recognizes that many clients are navigating life between cultures, where it can feel easier to adapt or follow paths that are not fully their own. We create space to step back, speak openly, and make decisions grounded in your values and lived experience, without needing to fit a mold.
Clarity
Clarity creates movement. Everleap believes that when complexity is organized and options are understood in context, people can think better and choose more intentionally. This includes clarity around the numbers and insight into how they actually think, feel, and make decisions.
Integrity
Trust is built through transparency, and steady support, especially in moments of uncertainty. As a fee-only fiduciary, Everleap provides advice with no commissions, no product sales, and no pressure, always putting clients’ best interests above everything else and helping them navigate change with perspective and care.

A Fee Only Financial Planner | Seattle WA
Let’s address the most common question clients ask: ‘How do you get paid?’
At Everleap Financial Planning™, we are fee-only fiduciaries. We are paid directly by you, and only by you. We do not sell products or take a percentage of your assets.
Most clients begin with a comprehensive planning engagement quoted as a flat-fee. That fee is determined by the scope and complexity of your situation and calculated using an hourly rate. After the initial engagement, some clients choose ongoing planning for continued partnership, while others reach out as questions arise or changes emerge.
Our role is to help you make financial decisions you can stand behind, so each leap forward is aligned with your values.

How Do You Approach Money Mindset And Values-Based Planning?
I don’t believe financial decisions are purely logical. Our relationship with money is shaped by childhood experiences, cultural expectations, family responsibilities, and the environments that shaped us.
In our work together, we acknowledge those influences while focusing on where you want to go next. Before zooming in on the numbers, we consider how your experiences have shaped your perspective on money, and how you want your values to guide your decisions moving forward. We talk about what you are trying to protect, provide, or create, and what a meaningful life looks like in this next chapter.
Who Tends To Work Best With You?
My clients are often high earners with complex financial lives who value thoughtful guidance over quick answers. They are open to reflection, honest conversations, and long-term planning as they seek to build a more meaningful and intentional life. Even when the path forward is still unfolding, they are willing to pause and move forward with clarity.
They understand that holistic financial planning takes time and a willingness to invest in doing it well. By committing to the process, they create a foundation that simplifies future decisions – saving time, mental energy, and second-guessing in the years ahead.
